Dr. Angel Bernice Clark is the founder and principal consultant of The InnerVisionist Collective. She works at the intersection of faith, justice, technology, and AI, helping churches, nonprofits, corporations, and civic organizations build equitable, human-centered, Spirit-led communities and systems.
Dr. Clark holds a Ph.D. in Practical Theology from Boston University School of Theology, a Master of Divinity in Missional Innovation from Duke Divinity School, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Spelman College. Her doctoral research — one of the first qualitative studies of online Black faith communities — introduced two original frameworks that now anchor InnerVisionist Collective's practice.
Before founding InnerVisionist Collective, Dr. Clark spent over almost twelve years in software development, working with enterprise clients including Northrop Grumman, the American Red Cross, and PNC Bank. She knows how to read a broken system, identify what's missing, and build something better — whether that system is a database, a nonprofit, or a congregation.
She currently serves as Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Spelman College, where she was first shaped as a scholar and a woman. Her teaching, speaking, and research center on the voices and wisdom of Black women, noting that the margins are not the edge of the conversation but its center.
Dr. Clark is a sought-after speaker and presenter at national conferences, including the American Academy of Religion, the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion, and the FORWARD Conference.
